2011 Recipients_______________________________________
Carter

Cindy Carter graduated summa cum laude from Kansas Wesleyan University and is working as a paraprofessional educator at South Middle while completing her teacher certification from Emporia State University.
Wheeler

Corey Wheeler graduated first in her class of 240 from Salina South High School and is attending Kansas Wesleyan University, majoring in Elementary Education.


2010 Recipient________________________________________
Brightbill Laney Brightbill, Salina High School South graduate, graduated from Kansas State University in May 2011 with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Laney will teach special ed preschool at Schilling Elementary.

2009 Recipient________________________________________
Pruett

Joel Pruett was named the eighth recipient of the LIFT award. Joel is a 2007 Central High School graduate majoring in English and Journalism at Kansas State University.

Campbell Molly Campbell, Salina Central High graduate, is attending Emporia State University where she is majoring in elementary education.
Rindt Nora Rindt, South High graduate, is attending Pittsburgh State University and majoring in elementary education.
Cox Caitlin Cox, Caitlin Cox, Salina Central High School graduate, graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in May 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education/Special Education.  Caitlin will teach K-1 Special Education at Stewart Elementary.

2007 Recipients_______________________________________
Book

Andrew Book, Salina Central High graduate, graduated from Wichita State University in December with a degree in Music Education. Andrew will teach orchestra at Salina Central High and four elementary schools beginning the fall of 2010.
Bartz Darcy Bartz Leech, Salina Central High graduate, graduated from Bethany College with a degree in English Education and Philosophy and is currently teaching English at Salina Central High School.

Rowson The Salina Education Foundation’s first LIFT recipient was Kaysie Rowson, a 2004 graduate of Salina South High School. She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University and is currently teaching 8th grade math at Salina South Middle School.
